IN LIFE, EVEN IN THE WORKPLACE, HUMILIATION BUILDS WISDOM

THE HUMAN RACE

HUMILIATION CAN BE CONQUERED

I can’t think of anyone who

managed to successfully escape

from the self-deprecating

sting of humiliation.

Whether we’re innocent, ignorant

or corrupt, the feeling of disgrace

can’t be ignored by turning

two deaf ears to it. Having

suffered such pangs myself, I

know how it feels to have a

discombobulated psyche.  But

when traces of dignity begin

to return, you can be rescued

from your pit of shame.

Whether the culprit who turned

your ego to mush was you alone or

some self-righteous schmuck,

you can patch up your

temperamental woes by either

laughing at your imbecility

or openly confessing your

blunders with blatant boldness.

Such integral acts will

speed up the healing process

until once again you’ll

return to being abnormal

like all the rest of us.

  1. Wow! Now, being a female, these words are the type that I would categorize as a “put your big girl panties on” and get over it blog entry. Eloquent, piercing, yet sympathetic and motivating all together. I love this. Thank you for posting!

    • Hey Nodimlight… Thanks for the kind words. Life has been fun over the past 150 years. People like you, especially good-looking, sensitive, young raven-headers paying attention to my thoughts, makes my long journey a trip worth taking. Boots

      • Oh! Dear Sir, thank you for lifting me up, and the extra smile today. When functioning properly, inspiration flows in both directions, and then…. many directions.
